Pie Day & Einstein's Birthday

Friday, March 14, 2008

Photo from VROG on Flickr

Today is Pi Day and Einstein's birthday. Interesting coincidence for the scientist who heralded the dawn of atomic energy and something mankind will have to safely manage for the foreseeable future. As if you haven't noticed by the theme of my blogging past time by now, I'm an ardent believer in clean forms of atomic energy safely managed (even forms of fusion energy). If Einstein were alive today I wonder what he would think of what's become of his namesake E=MC2?

As an educational exercise I wonder how many places the symbol for Pi can be found in mathematics and E=MC2 for that matter?

Thank you for linking back to the original flickr page for this "pie pi" image

The same image has been ripped off on dozens of blogs without any credit or link or request for permission - in breach of copyright law

At least you has the courtesy to credit and link back to the original
